Brax was hardly pleased about his transfer from a nice, open pasture to a stall where the shavings barely covered the ground. The chestnut gelding expressed his displeasure loudly and repeatedly while his owner spoke with one of the workers. He was supplied with some hay and his bucket filled with water.
This held him off for a little while, at least until a worker came back and tacked a slip of paper to his stall:
Registered Name: BRX Ransom Afire Barn Name: Brax Age: Eleven Breed: Arabian x Dutch Warmblood Discipline: Dressage (showing fourth level, schooling Prix St. George) Reason for being here: Previous owner can't take care of him anymore Please wait for a Humane Society worker for help. He's a handful.
Brax whinnied again and tried to climb the stall wall to get at a gelding next to him. He hated stalls with a passion.
