Together we look alike...
Two eight month old lab pups tumbled back and forth. The larger brown colored, a Chocolate female, jumped back when the littler, black male gave a soft yelp. He teased her. He got to his feet from his side and grabbed a little kong toy that he hadn't allowed the humans to take from him since he found out he could get his mouth around it, chew on it and carry it around without being yelled at for it. The larger sister bounded after her brother as he tossed his head with the toy in his mouth, as they both gave soft growls and tumbled to the ground.
But we're so different...
Trying to keep his toy away from his sister, the black puppy pawed at her with his paws as he laid on his side, his toy in the side of his mouth. He tried to reposition the Kong toy when his sister grabbed it from him with slickness and slyness so he got to his feet and 'pounded' after her toward the front of the pen the two were in. His feet were still slightly big, but every human kept saying he'd grow into his paws, and he would.
Altogether though, we're siblings...
Keeping her brother's toy away from him, the chocolate female laid down on her stomach with her thick tail wagging and soft growls at her brother. She looked at him and pawed at his head when he tried to snatch his toy back from her, but with no avail. Both of the eight month old lab pups wagged their tails, the young male wagged his so hard his rear end started to wag as well.

Erika had long waited for her own place, her own horses, and her own pets. She had the first two (although her stallion didn't really fit the bill for horses) and now, she just needed a dog. Or two. Erika couldn't stand to buy a puppy from a pet store when there were so many in the pound who could use her help, so Erika drove over to the small but well-kept building.
She waved to the receptionist, who was occupied with a phone call. Erika flashed her driver's license and got a smile and a wave through to the back kennels. Erika wandered through the cages, peering in at the larger dogs and ignoring the small ones. She had no use for a toy dog that would get in the way at the barn. She needed a big dog who could hold its own against the horses and was smart enough to stay out of the way.
Erika gradually made her way to the puppy section and spotted two labs in a corner. A male and a female. They were playing hard and fighting over a Kong. This was the kind of dog Erika wanted: feisty, strong, and maybe able to help out a little.
Just as Erika was sticking a finger between the bars, the receptionist walked up behind her. "Ah! You scared me!" Erika chuckled for a moment. "Can you tell me anything about these guys?" she asked, gesturing to the two puppies.

Together we look alike...
Ignoring the Kong toy, the female stood up with a wagging tail and went over to the pen's side wall where there we fingers sticking in through the bars at them as her brother picked up his toy and bounded over and stood up on his back paws with his front paws on the bars. They both wagged their tails at the humans and the black pup gave a high pitched muffled back with the toy still in his mouth.
But we're so different...
The little male soon dropped his toy as he let his paws touch the ground again when he started to lose balance on his back feet from his butt wiggling too hard. Going over to the receptionist, he could hear her talking. He didn't know what she was saying a hundred percent, but from a few words he knew, she was speaking of how they came to the shelter from being left behind in a house with no food nor water. Their mother was no where to be found, and their previous owner had died in the hospital from a heartattack. Everything in the den that they were in when they were found, had been chewed, even the bowls that was suppose to hold their food and water.
Altogether though, we're siblings...
Still keeping her eyes on the human that was sticking her fingers through the bars of the pen they were in, the chocolate female licked at them, wanting attention and to get out of the puppy kennel. She gave a soft whimper as she continued to try and look cute to the humans, hoping one of them would take both her and her brother, or atleast her to a good home. She was tired of the pen, and even though she loved her adventerous and trouble making brother, she also longed for human contact and attention, and being penned up like this for a while longer wasn't going to help either. Even if they got daily attention from the same people, but never got to go explore outside and truely play aside from jumping and playing with each other. They both gave out happy barks at the humans.
Words;; 354 Muse;; Good Puppets;; Calimone's Matrimony and Suburbia's Chocolate for Erika Notes;; Suburbia and Calimone came to the shelter as Abandoned pets. Their previous owner died of a heart attack a few weeks before they were found, and when help came, the two had chewed into everything they could get their mouths on to eat. Including the bowls, desk, chairs and couch that was in the room that they were in.

Erika listened closely to the receptionist; she really liked these dogs, but it wouldn't do if they were aggressive or anything. As mich as she loved training, Erika didn't like to deal with aggressive dogs. Her parents had a pit bull at home, and Erika knew first hand how difficult it was to train a dog that didn't want to do anything but bark and bite.
The story was that the puppies had been discovered alone in a house after their owner had died. They had chewed up everything, from the furniture to the bowls. Erika absentmindedly petted the female puppy's head as she listened. "Hm. Can I take them out and play with them in a run or something?" Erika asked. She didn't want to bring puppies home with no idea how they would act. Granted, Erika was pretty sure she was going to adopt them, but still.

Together we look alike...
Suburbia felt the one human pet her head, so she gave the hand a lick with a big wag of her tail and a "smile" on her maw. She felt her smaller brother try and knock her over in a playful way, so she easily tumbled to her side and nipped at her brother's side. The two pups played back and forth, avoiding the human hands that reached in to pick them up so they could go outside.
But we're so different...
Calimone jumped backwards with a wagging tail and a playful barked bow as he heard that they can be taken outside if they can be caught and leashed, otherwise the first human would have to enter the large kennel to play with them. He jumped at his sister again with a high pitched playful bark and tripped over his Kong toy in the process, so instead of jumping at his sister, he fell head first into her, making her give a surprised yelp.
Altogether though, we're siblings...
Suburbia gave a yelp when her brother tripped into her and gave him a gentle nip on the neck before knocking him onto his side and trying to bite him playfully, only to recieve one of his paws in her mouth, so she gave a soft growl and held onto it gently, letting him have it back when he whimpered and she sat down. Gabbing the Kong Toy, Suburbia attemped to pounce on her brother when she felt a hand touch her, so she dropped the toy and looked at the humans again.
