Two Great Dane puppies wandered out from where they hid in an alley-way and out into the street. They both had tails bewteen their legs as they bolted across the street into the sidewalk on the otherside, cars squeeling to stops and people cussing at them as they dodged tires and continued to run across the street.
Getting close to the street, the larger one felt something hit her side as she fell sideways before regaining her balance and leaping to the sidewalk. The smaller and younger one gave a growl and licked his friend's shoulder then the two sat down next to one of the building and continued to watch people as they drove and walked around the pups. One gave a soft whimper as they laid down, the car had hit her good. She laid with her side touching the building as her young friend sat next to her, kept giving soft growls at people whenever he thought they got too close.

Tamotsu was relaxing in the shade waiting for the heat of the day to pass when he saw two spotted great dane pups run across the road. Before he could react at all he saw the young female get hit. He sighed as soon as he saw both pups still walking although he could tell that the female was hurting more then she was letting on. Getting up he rushes over to them to see if there was any major damage done and to help them survive on the streets. Seeing that the young male was really protective of the female he approached with caution.
"You two should not run across the street like that. If you need shelter you can come with me. How is your side?"

The two pups looked up to see another dog, much larger than them."I'll be fine." Stasha barks happily with a soft wag of her tail as Lou got up to his feet and gave a few high pitched barks at a few people with a gentle growl and tail straigt back.
Stasha looked over at her friend who had started to bound off but she barked him back as she sat up herself to look at the large black dog with the white chest. "I think we will be fine on our own for a while longer. But thank you anyway sir." She says with kind eyes at the Dane that had offered them his help.

Tamotsu smiled at the young pups. "ok if you are sure that you will be fine. I dont live far from here so if you change your mind just go down this ally and call Tamotsu. I will always be happy to help." Tamotsu is happy that they will be ok but wishes them the luck of finding a good home also. It would be much safer. He wags his tail and looks around for any sign of danger before he leaves them. He dips his head and turns to go back to the place he calls home. On the way he sees other dogs and a bunch of humans but they are no threat to him or the pups. They just mind their own business just like every other day.

The older pup thanked him as she laid back down with a huff. The two laid next to each other injoying the company, but longed for someplace cool so that they didn't have to pant the way they were now. Both of them looked around before the male stood and shook the dust and dirt from his dapple spotted coat and sitting back down in a weird way against the cool bricks of the store behind him. Stasha rolled onto her side and closed her eyes as her stomach started to growl slightly with hunger, which made her remember that the two hadn't eaten since this morning, and they skipped their noon meal thinking that if the didn't eat when they normally do, they would catch the cars at their slow times, but they were wrong, and now the two were growing hungry and tired. Stasha sighed before standing and limping toward the alley way that the larger Dane had gone into. She gave a loud bark that sounded as if it didn't come from a pup her age, as she perked her ears forward to listen. Lou stayed where he was and watched her stand on three legs before the great opening of the alley way, corious at what she was doing.

Tamotsu was half way down the ally when he heard a bark. Turning to see who it was he saw the little female standing there with her ears perked forward listening. He as shocked that she could bark like that. Usually it was small and squeaky. Then he answered back with a big booming bark and started to trot back to the little one. He noticed that she was standing on three legs as he got closer. "You called?" Tamotsu then smiled and wagged his tail with his ears forward. Then he remembers that there was another one with her. "Where is your brother? You two shouldn't leave each other."

Stasha wagged her tail lightly so that she wouldn't loose her balance. "He's still here." She glanced at Lou who stood up and walked carefully toward them. "I am sorry to bother, but do you know of a place where we can find food, and possibly hide from the humans for a while? I don't want Lou going and getting himself in trouble like he usualy does." Glancing at the small male that now stood behind her, she gave him a soft wag of her tail before looking back at the larger male before her.

Tamotsu watched and listened to the little female. when she was done He replied "Thats good that you two didn't loose each other." then he chuckled, "Your not bothering any body so there is no need to apologize. Yes I do know of a place with food and shelter all you have to do is follow me and i will get you there safely." His eyes glowed at the thought of sharing his home with others. Tamotsu looked around and then turned to head down the ally again but stopped to see if the two puppies were going to follow.

Lou gave a soft shudder at the alley as Stasha limped into the darkness before he bounded after her, his tail hanging low with ears. Stasha on the other paw walked with three legs before she bounded after Tamotsu, still on three legs, then stopped to stand next to him with Lou close to her other side. She could feel the fearless pup shiver slightly at the darkness and the much larger dog that they...She requested help from. The two pups looked around silently as they kept close to their companions, even the one who was limping and began to limp badly was keeping up easily with larger steps while Lou had to walk, stop, bound up to Stasha's side everytime something made a sound that easily scared the young male, but he soon got over it and barked at whatever would make noise. Even a trashcan.

Tamotsu noticed that Stasha was walking on three legs and that Lou gave a soft shudder at the ally. He was happy that he could help these young pups. "There is nothing to worry about. It might be dark but it is nice and cool on hot days." He looked at the pups and smiled, then remembering his manners he said "My name is Tamotsu, and you two are...?" He waited patiently for their replies and looked around. Then he started to walk and watch the pups. He thought it was kind of funny watching the young male jumping at every little noise, while the young female was still able to keep up with his stride. Tamotsu shortened his stride a little so that it would be easier for both of the pups. Llooking at Stasha he said, "You sure you will be fine? I could put both of you on my back if you would like."
